New Energy Efficiency Requirements
The US Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a final rule to propose new energy efficiency requirements for external power supplies.
The new regulations apply to all direct external power supplies, including Class A power supplies already covered in the 2007 standard and power not included in previous DOE regulations, such as:Multiple output external power supply.
§Branded output power greater than 250 watts of external power supply Part of an external power supply for a battery that is primarily or partially powered by a motor-driven product.
